Do I need to be a teacher to succeed with Halstrom High Schools
®?
No. Halstrom High School® franchisees come from all walks of life, including sales, marketing, finance, real estate, administration, military, engineering, and education. The common theme among our diverse network of franchisees is an entrepreneurial spirit, the desire to be successful, and the need to have a business one can feel good about.

What is my investment?
The approximate cost to open a Halstrom High School® is between $90,000 and $180,000.

Do you assist with financing?
Yes, Halstrom High Schools® are an SBA-approved franchise (www.sba.gov) and will assist you with financing through third party lenders.

How long have you been franchising Halstrom High Schools®?
Founded in 1985 in Oceanside, CA as Futures High School®, Halstrom High School® began franchising in 2005.

What support do you provide franchisees?
Halstrom High School® franchisees can expect to receive unrivaled support including a five-week initial training program, the Halstrom Head Start Program (which is designed to help our new franchisees accelerate start-up and get on the fast track), and on-going training and support in Center Operations, Marketing, Education, and Systems.  In addition, Halstrom High Schools® offer additional valuable support services like a Call Center and Sales Coaching.

What kinds of students attend Halstrom High Schools®?
Halstrom High School® students are responsible, self-directed learners. They are students who want to take responsibility for their education.  Halstrom High School® students are motivated to succeed, but on their own terms.

How can a student succeed at Halstrom High School® by attending only a few days a week?
Students attend Halstrom High School® a few hours a day, a few days a week.  Each student has a 45-minute, one-to-one individualized instruction appointment designed specifically to meet their needs and learning level.  After each appointment, the student is assigned five hours of homework/preparation that is completed away from school.  The teacher instructs only to what the student demonstrates he/she understands.  All students must demonstrate a minimum mastery level of 70% per assignment.  If a student is not able to demonstrate minimum mastery, than the teacher will reassign until the student can demonstrate, at mastery level, before moving on to the next assignment.

Are Halstrom High Schools® accredited?
Halstrom High Schools® are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  Each high school has earned six year terms, the most allowed by WASC.

Can Halstrom High School® students transfer to other high schools?
Students may transfer to another high school.  Each high school has their own transfer policy and course requirements.  Please check with the high school for their policies.

Are Halstrom High School® courses approved?
Halstrom High School® has “a-g” approved course list from University of California/California State University.  Halstrom High School® also has approved course lists from NCAA.

Can Halstrom High School® graduates attend college?
Halstrom High School® graduates attend colleges and universities across the country and abroad, such as University of California, California State University, Arizona State, Loyola Marymount, Stanford University, University of New York, London School of Business, and Julliard School of Arts.
